0 out of 5 stars I landed on the Versatile Uno, and checked the Briel website to make sure it was current and supported. I bought the gift for my Mom for Christmas. It had to be simple to use and safe. After she opened it, we set it up for use and the steam control knob came off in my hand. It wasn't broken per se, just a bad design. Perhaps previous product iterations resulted in too-many ham-handed customers twisting the knob open or shut too far, so this plastic knob had a set of sloped interlocking tabs that mated with an interior piece. It was lightly greased and designed to ride up off the interior piece if over-torqued. Unfortuantely, the design also depends on the shaft being absolutely centered in the hole in the case and being perfectly horizontal. That doesn't happen with snap-together parts, so basically the knob quickly works loose. Since this knob controls steaming, that's not a good thing. The user is required to constantly press the knob back into the body of the machine in order for it to work correctly. I decided.hey, too unsafe, too much user intervention, a constant reminder that this gift was flimsy, etc. That's perfect for a gift item for Mom.Please try again later. Please try again later. G G. 5.0 out of 5 stars No more Starbucks! The espresso from this machine is excellent. It comes with two containers - one for 1 cup and the other for 2 cups. If you want, there is a opening on the top to pour water in so you don't have to remove the tank. Also you can easily see the water level on the side. The machine is also pretty quiet compared to some of the other espresso machines i have tried. There is a drip tray at the bottom which just slides out and is very easy to clean. Also I did not notice any problems with the knob as mentioned in the other review. It works pretty smoothly A great value for the money !Please try again later. Please try again later. J. Xavier 5.0 out of 5 stars It is a great machine. http://www.arcop.pl/userfiles/brother-pr-1000-service-manual.xml

I am comparing it to a Braun machine that I have had for a couple of months. Right off, the bat the first cup from the Briel machine is much creamier than the other machine. The removable water tank feature is great - just fill it in and watch the level when you need to refill it. It also has a removable drip tray that is very easy to clean and catches any overflow of coffee. This machine comes with a measuring spoon, which has a spot in the machine to store it so that it is out of the way. There is also the convenience of making either 1 or 2 cups of coffee in one shot - the machine comes with the two different measurements. The top of the machine is also a cup warmer - which by itself is a great feature in this price range. The 15 bar pump pressure is great compared to the ordinary 4-8 on the lower end machines. The versatility of either using ground coffee or ESE pods is a very good feature. If you are uncomfortable or intimidated by using ground coffee - this machine allows you to use the ESE pods. So far I am very impress with the end result. Please try again later. Please try again later. D. Eng 5.0 out of 5 stars I guess every now and then anyone can get any product that has a flaw in it. Not the case in my machine. This could not be any easier to use either. I love Cappuccino, but have never made one or even knew the most basic thing about brewing a cup of it. My first try was better than anything I've ever got a Starbucks. Great recipes, every cup keeps getting better. I know people that have steam and other pump cappuccino machines. They say that this blows theirs away. I'm Told the operation of use was easier and better features too. Every cup is the same, it makes very a consistent espresso, which is a sign of a very good machine. I looked online for a long time to find a good machine. Every store gave Briel great reviews, and many books recommended Briel as a excellent machine for the price. Most compared it to machines twice its price. http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/76847

My only complaint about the Cappuccino I make is that I'm getting fat! lolPlease try again later. Please try again later. See how easy it is to make authentic espresso and cappuccino at home with a De’Longhi manual espresso machine. Whatever your preference — single or double espresso, cappuccino or latte — the manual espresso machine brews authentic barista-quality beverages just like you enjoy at your favorite coffeehouse. Water and steam are heated separately thanks to the dual thermostat system, allowing crema to reach the ultimate consistency without scalding the coffee. For milk-based beverages, the manual frother mixes steam and milk to create a rich, creamy froth for evenly textured drinks — just the way you like them. The built-in tamper provides great flavor without the guesswork, and while the cappuccino systems may vary in method (one-touch automation for a semi-automatic model, versus an advanced manual frother for a traditional pump espresso machine), the results are consistently excellent. If you want all the convenience of an attached milk steamer and espresso maker, but less of the mess, we recommend the Nespresso range, with its convenient espresso pods, just as versatile as any of our other coffee machines. Choose from a range of sleek, stylish designs, in black, red, or stainless steel. Our machines are easy to use, easy to clean and easy to fill — exactly how they’re supposed to be. The brand is inextricably linked to the passion for the perfect espresso and defines itself as a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. We really love what we do. At Briel, we intend to distinguish ourselves from the mass-produced small appliances manufacturing by a great attention to the detail and focus on durability and functionality. Quality has always been, and will continue to be, the foundation underpinning everything we do. The initial product range included mixers and vacuum cleaners. http://germanbandhsv.com/images/bridgewood-jointer-manual.pdf

The competence and skills that we have deepened over time, either by improving processes, by using more durable and ecologically sustainable materials, or by the continuous research and technological development. Of the many thousands of coffee machines Briel produced over the years, equipments that are spread all over the world, the feedback we have is of total satisfaction for its flawless operation: extracting a perfect espresso coffee, day after day, year after year. This frankly positive and global opinion on our products, which speaks for itself, makes us very proud. It is something that can only be fully understood by experiencing an espresso from a Briel coffee machine. From the robust stainless-steel boiler to the special crema maker filter, to the use of electronic technology designed to control the operation on the latest models, everything is specifically designed, thoroughly developed and exhaustively tested, by ourselves, so that the final result meets any highest expectations. https://kindervakantieweekdeurne.nl/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628794e827b95---calculator-ti-30x-iis-manual.pdf

Briel team brings together people with multiple professional backgrounds: the elders who, with all the commitment and dedication, have been working with our brand since its beginning (for over 40 years); highly qualified and experienced technicians in areas with high technological development in recent times such as plastic injection, metalworking and tooling; and also engineers, from the most prestigious universities, sharing their advanced knowledge and expertise in the production and continuous improvement of our coffee machines. More than 90 of the parts that make up our machines are produced in Portugal: beyond the assembly, all plastic and metal parts, including our exclusive stainless-steel boiler and special filter, are made in-house. Even the toolings for all these processes are developed and built, from scratch, by us. The remaining components are predominantly European, as we do not compromise on quality. All these parts are thoroughly checked and controlled before the final assembly, which is performed by very experienced people, with all the care and attention. However, if some maintenance or repair is needed, we guarantee spare parts supply for at least 10 years. We simply cannot see our coffee machines as throw-away small domestic appliances. We believe that all consumers and manufacturers will think this way, getting engaged in an environmental-friendly and ecologically sustainable world development. But, as all Briel customers know, we have been thinking this way for over 40 years, since all our coffee machines are designed to be repairable and serviceable. Another important factor is the cost-effectiveness: an espresso from ground coffee can cost up to 8 times less than a capsule coffee. Considering the hundreds of coffees that the average consumer and, perhaps, its family have each year, just imagine how much you can save thru the long lifespan of the machine. www.cndasion.com/d/files/collins-complete-woodworker-s-manual-pdf

If you prefer a more practical, quick and clean way to obtain an authentic espresso, our machines are ready to use both ground coffee and ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) standard pods, consisting of mono-doses of pressed coffee, with the appropriate grind and quantity, placed between two sheets of food grade filter paper, with the advantage of being more environmental-friendly than capsules. It is no coincidence that boilers are the preferred technical solution of true professionals and it is the type of configuration we can find in the best and most expensive high-end coffee machines. It all comes down to pressure: if too low, your espresso will be under-concentrated and weak. Although not always necessary, more pressure helps the user to make a better-quality shot, offering greater flexibility and tolerance to different types of grinding and quantity of coffee. It also means that the pump the machine is equipped with is more robust and it will not always be working to the limit of its capacity, providing less wear and ensuring an outstanding durability, without loss of power or efficiency over time. The mechanics of our coffee machines were engineered to work with a 20 bar pump, warranting the smoothest and creamiest espresso shots even in the most demanding situations. All equipped with the best Italian pumps, reliable and durable. We have versions for single (one shot) and double dose (two shots taken simultaneously). It took us years of research and testing to develop and improve this filter so that extracting a good espresso is not exclusive to professional baristas: it is available to everyone. It is really easy. Our system regulates the water crossing by the coffee powder, increasing the pressure necessary to dispense it, resulting in a flavourful and aromatic crema on the top of your espresso shot. It is a device that is usually found in the best and most expensive high-end coffee machines. {-Variable.fc_1_url-

If you want more refined results, revealing your motivation to be a true barista, you should keep the pressure fixed, using the grind, the time and the tamp as control variables, adjusting the latter until it feels like perfect to you. Or a latte macchiato. We have good news for you. Briel coffee machines with steam pipe have an excellent frothing capacity of milk, ensuring the very fast availability of a powerful and continuous steam, without the unwanted water remains. The result will be a milk foam at the right temperature, structure, and thickness, which you can use to prepare your favourite drinks. The exceptional continuous steam function of Briel coffee machines is possible thanks to both the use of our boiler, also designed for this application, and the improved electronic control that, in some models, provides micro-injections of water into the boiler without affecting the required high temperature, thus allowing the continuous use of steam even for long periods. Common practice is to soak filter baskets in hot water and a detergent, such as Puly Caff overnight to dissolve deposits. Place a teaspoon of grouphead cleaner such as Puly Caff into a blind filter basket in your portafilter. Attach the portafilter to the group. Run the coffee delivery switch for approx. 10 seconds and stop for a few seconds and run again. Do this 4 times. Remove the portafilter and rinse then put back on the machine and run the coffee delivery switch for 10 seconds, stop take the portafilter off and rinse and repeat this 4 times.Basically you cannot backflush machines unless it has the equivalent of an E61 grouphead. When frothing milk wipe the steamwand with a clean damp cloth, when finished and purge the wand with a blast of steam to clear any milk in the tip. If you notice not all steam jets working use a paper clip to clear short term but remove the tip and clean with a detergent such as Puly Milk when possible. https://wacee.net/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16287950848c66---calculator-hp-10bii-manual.pdf

Scale build-up in coffee machines is a costly problem and replacing filters on a regular basis in line with the volume of water you are using is essential. Usually a light will indicate when power to the element is activated. A loop in the element or a coil of an electrovalve are favourites. More common on domestic machines but also on many commercials. For commercials the jets in the grouphead will probably need removed and cleaned. Clean all parts that come into contact with the coffee on a regular basis with a degreaser such as Puly Caff. Do not use coffee that has been lying and dried out. Seals harden over time due to being continually compressed and operating at a high temperature. If into a bucket the end of the hose should not be in the water. It is good practice to pour a solution of dissolved Puly Caff degreaser into the drip tray. If there is hot water and no steam then check the nozzle is not blocked with milk. Common problem is scale or dirt build-up on the level probe. Many problems can be addressed by the operator but others will require a local coffee machine engineer. Fast checkout with Paypal. My suggestion would be to NOT purchase any of the machines he recommends. Amazon, your ratings system obviously needs some more checks and balances. This Multi-Pro Series model delivers both thick espresso and American-style java from fresh-ground coffee or ESE coffee pods--small portions of ground coffee pressed between two pieces of food-compatible paper. Coffee pods are packed with the right weight, roast, and grind, so even the inexperienced barista can consistently make great coffee. A self-priming pump, fed by filtered suction and water return tubes, serves both the espresso and the drip-coffeemakers. Other features include a cup warmer, removable drip tray and grid, and coffee tamper. And an adjustable electric timing control lets you select serving size in advance. And then there's the Turbo Jet frother, equipped with a steam control knob and removable cappuccino nozzle. The frother works beautifully. The only downside is that the brew head fits so tightly into the filter holder that it limits the amount of coffee that can be loaded into it, which complicates the brewing process when using fresh-ground coffee. A somewhat confusing instruction manual makes trial and error essential to learning how to operate this machine. --Matthew Evans Editor's note: This item may arrivewith water inside from the manufacturer's pressure test. This is a normal occu rrence and doesn't point to a problem with the machine.. Read more The espresso machine portion is sensational and produces a rich thick crema each time we brew espresso, whether it be from pods of ground coffee. The auto espresso flow feature makes it easy to start and the machine stops automatically based on the amount of coffee you requested. The machine is a real powerhouse in terms of steam pressure for frothing milk. We use this several times a week. We love the feature of the machine is the drip coffeemaker portion. We enjoy espresso, but don't drink it everyday. However, drip coffee, that's another story. It brews 10 cups of hot coffee in a short amount of time. The pause and serve feature is great. This combination machine is perfect for our counter as it's a multi-purpose machine that is used everyday. You can even brew drip coffee at the same time as making an espresso. We purchased the ESPRESSIONE pods from AMAZON and really love the 100 Arabica blend.just like being in southern Europe. We would highly recommend this machine based on both quality, looks and most important performance. The espresso machine portion is sensational and produces a rich thick crema each time we brew espresso, whether it be from pods of ground coffee. We would highly recommend this machine based on both quality, looks and most important performance. I was born in Brazil so I've been drinking coffee all my life. I know a good cup of coffee and this machine makes great coffee. Alot better then Starbucks!! We just purchased the Briel Multi-Pro ED271APG combination pump espresso machine with built in drip coffeemaker for use in our office. The espresso machine portion is sensational and produces a rich thick crema each time we brew espresso, whether it be from pods of ground coffee. We would highly recommend this machine based on both quality, looks and most important performance. This system lets you set the coffee strength according to taste, from a stronger, Italian-style short cup to a larger, less robust brew. It also makes good cappuccino, because of its included frothing wand. Some other nice features include a patented Cremaker filter, which provides a richer crema on each espresso, and a removable water tank. This is a normal occurrence and doesn't point to a problem with the machine.. Read more I own a BRIEL CADIZ Automatic machine. It's absolutely fantastic. The espresso coffee is brewed at the perfect temperature, the crema is rich and creamy, you can use this machine with your favorite coffee powder or the pods featured at amazon.com (they are great). Consumer Guide rated this a BEST BUY along with two other BRIEL products.so I'm inclined to go with CONSUMER GUIDE over a consumer who may not know what they are talking about. Buy this machine.it's a super performer and looks great on the counter or bar. After searching long and hard (and reading countless reviews) I decided upon this machine because of 1)price and 2)looks. This machine replaced an old Krups steam driven machine. I've now had it about a month. Here are my thoughts: 1)There is a learning curve - I had to adjust my burr grinder to get the correct setting, or adjust how hard I tamped, or else I found the liquid coming out around the edge of the filter holder. So,I suggest first buying good quality preground espresso, and get used to tamping it properly (ie.I found a 5.5 on my Braun grinder works best. Since then I've had no problem and perfect espressos. (the machine seems to work better with time). 2) It drips - no matter what they say it drips. If it didn't drip they wouldn't have a drip pan. It takes a rinse and its clean - no big deal. I have a sponge I use just for the machine to wipe up drips, etc. (also use a toothbrush periodically to clean the brew head). Supposedly you can use it to control the amount of water, but I find it varies considerably between shots. I set it to the highest setting and then just turn the brew button on until my shot glass is full and then hit it again to turn it off. Takes around 25 seconds. In all, those are the problems I found - and they aren't biggies. For the price, I'm willing to deal with them as I don't think any of the other machines at a similar price would offer much difference. I'd definitely buy it again. But when it breaks down, as it will, get ready for, as someone else already called it - 'the royal run-around'. This machine broke down after about a year. We sent it in, forked over another 100 bucks, and soon were back to sipping cappuccinos. Sure enough, the machine broke down again ten months later. When we explained the problem over the phone -in detail!-, the repair person assured us that this was the same problem and, since it was within a year of the last repair, we wouldn't have to pay for it. So we sent it in again. Suddenly, Mr. Steve Karow informed us, the previously repaired part only had a 90 day warrantee. Their service department will leave a bad taste in your mouth that their best espresso can't wash away. Seeing here that other people have had similar experiences, I believe the FTC should take a closer look at Briel. As of this month, I've been using my Briel Cadiz for two years. I make 3 cappucino's every day, so I guess you could say that the machine has gotten a very thorough test by now. Over 1000 cups! It still performs very well. The espresso is second to none -- perfect temperature, very aromatic, and with a beautiful thick head of crema. The steam wand has lost a little power over the years (maybe 20), but still performs well enough to give me a nice foamy cappucino. One trick I learned about maintenance: after the first 6 months, I noticed a big degradation in the quality of the espresso and the crema. I tried a few things -- won't detail them all here -- but the solution turned out to be unscrewing the screw that secures the brew head screen, then pulling the screen and out and cleaning it. The screen holes are TINY -- the best way I found to clean them was by using a sewing needle and painstakingly pushing the residue out of each hole. It takes 15-20 minutes to do this. But VOILA! When I reassembled it, the espresso was back to its rich, foamy perfection. I find that I have to perform this little maintenance task 2-3 times a year, even though I use filtered water. Oh well, not such a big deal I guess -- especially for such delicious espresso. I'm very happy with this machine I bought the Briel Cadiz after much research over which of the affordably priced espresso machines was right for me. Being an artist, style is very important to me, and I needed to have a nice looking machine. But I also needed one that worked well, and was affordably priced. The Briel Cadiz was the only model that fit my needs. So I bought one. The first few shots of espresso that I made sucked. I'll be honest. IF YOU ARE NOT PATIENT, DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!! You need to experiment and find the right combination of grind and tamp. The machine, like any other machine priced under 8 billion dollars, IS NOT GOD. This being said, after I bought a nice Solis Maestro burr grinder to get a nice grind, and learned how to properly tamp, this machine delivers VERY consistent and delicious espresso. Once I learned the ins and outs, I was in love. There is a neat little door that flips up on the top of the machine that houses a filter basket and a nice scoop, and also acts as the door to the opening where water can be poured to fill the tank. The frother works pretty well too. Not fantastically, but with a little patience, it can make great froth for lattes, cappuccinos, and other hot and frozen espresso delights. If you have patience and love espresso, this machine is a perfect match! The grinder's many settings, from very fine to coarse, account for the many types of beans available. When using different beans, it should be adjusted to find the ideal grind; the adjustment is also necessary to find the right grind in differing temperatures and humidity levels. After the proper grind is found, it places exactly 7 grams, the required amount for one cup of espresso, into the holder.
