0 out of 5 stars It's very condensed and catered to the classic mustang - I would of liked some high level adjustments to be a little more detailed - example installation of points and gaping is very general and would require previous experience to understand fully what the instructions entail.It really is for the pro or at least someone who knows more about auto repair than I do. This my first project and I need more help than this book can give me.Good for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.Not worth it. Spend money elsewhere.Full strip down and rebuild, with plenty of step-by-step instructions and photos. I have problem with acquiring a replacement screen for my Boss GT-3. In service manual its described as WD-C1602R-2BLYC and as far as i know its 16x2 negative display. I've bought such one (negative 16x2) for replacement but then i discovered it has different pinout than Boss original screen. Here it's the photo of the boss lcd pinout: The one i've bought have even sized pins and spacing between them. 1. Is there original replacement for screen anywhere? 2. If not, which lcd negative 16x2 screen have same pinout. Bless, JamalBG I decided to use this one - made by Raystar Optronics because it has similiar dimensions and parameters as original. It works fine but it has different pinout and logic voltage, so a 1.5k resistor is needed serial to pin 2, and backlight diode pins are located elsewhere on module, so pins 15 and 16 are unused. It should work for GT-6 and GT-8 also. I knew nothing about displays but the 2 of us figured out how to get it working. When AutoGuide spoke to Preuninger at the New York Auto Show, they asked him about the new manual transmission GT3 and how it might be perceived by 911R owners. You see, the 911R was made essentially as a direct result of customers whining at the GT3 being only available with a PDK transmission. Four IR's per patch would be great, but four IR's in total would be a bit of a challenge. But if Boss never planned the IR's in the first place, they probably never added the memory needed for storing the IR's. Control functions on page 26, and assign settings on pg 27. For people new to Boss, the difference might not be obvious. Think of control functions as one setting for each specific switch. And think of assign settings as 16 generic settings where each one can be used with any switch or expression pedal to control just about any parameter. Whatever works best for YOU. If you're the type that uses different patches for each different sound in a song, then leave 1 to 5 as patch selects and let the patches do the work. If you want a hybrid, you could let 1 to 3 be patch selects and use control functions and assigns to make 4 and 5 do whatever. Or some other combo. Again, whatever works for YOU, and it can be different on each patch if you want it to be. It's different, not missing. Is it better or worse.Control functions on page 26, and assign settings on pg 27. Is it better or worse. So, if i assign a control function to my CTL1 button, like a toggling some effect on and off, i could in addition use assign to assign some more functionality, or it’s mutually exclusive. I don’t get this redundancy, to me both functions allow similar assigns - both work “per path” and both have some same settings possible. Or its just - use control function for simple assignments and for something more complex - assign? This would really speed up the learning process. I don't see 'CURNUM' in the parameter guide, and I don't remember seeing it while using the gt1000's interface. But I did read about using it with the tuner.
