I have found on the web that for earlier models there is a reset code for Bosch washers. It requires one to get into the programing section of the controls. I have read the Bosch manuals which you have so generously posted and do not see anything for this washer. My washer reads out an error code of E:01 and then in the programing section also reads out code C:00. Your manual indicates that there is a child interlock function on page 25 or 26. This process has not returned the door lock to normal operation. The manuals you have referenced do not seem to give pages 25 and 26. Do you have any thoughts on this problem? It makes small hole in all of our tshirts. We ran a stocking around the drum and found rough spots which we removed with a diamond bit. Still have the problem. The most common cause is suds in the drum from the wrong detergent. One of the other things that can cause this is the drain pump is plugged with something like a sock or other debris. If you want to drain it, you can try to move the drain hose to a lower level and see if gravity will drain it. This might not work if something is physically blocking the drain. You can also use a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to draw out the water through the drain hose. IF that does not work then you have to remove the bottom panel under the door and locate the drain cap.When you take the plug off, there is a filter or trap that you can clean. Once you have done this then you should be able to run the rinse and spin drain to get the machine back in order after you put the plug back in.Answer questions, earn points and help others. Also be sure the hinges on the washer door are tight as if these become loose the door can droop down and not line up perfectly and therefore cause the buzzing sound from vibration. -RR Just replaced the plastic door clip and locking mechanism or switch. The door itself is dropping and getting hung up if not lifted up while closing, hence why I replaced door clip and lock mechanism in the first place. The parts were from Frigidaire direct and therefore OEM replacement parts. Definitely installed correctly. If the hinge is bent or has loose hardware, it will cause the door to droop and may be causing the buzzing noise while the washer runs. Check hinge for loose hardware or possibly being bent downward. If buzzing persists, check to be sure door locking mechanism is secure and properly in place. -RR It makes a buzzing sound from the bottom, but it is not an exact or patterned noise. Sometimes loud sometimes not. Sometimes it will make the noise and then “catch” noise goes away and washer continues to work. Sometimes it will finish the entire cycles and load sometimes it will shut down again and then come on later. It does seem to happen anytime the drum needs to spin, agitate or the other motion it makes when draining. So just not sure what it is. The washer actually works and completes load all the way without it buzzing, shutting down and then starting back up where it left off. So seems like it is not the switch and the noise comes from the bottom of the washer. Sounds like you may need to inspect and test the motor. If the lid switch is working properly and the washer changes, works okay sometimes and sometimes not, test the motor and cap if applicable. When you say it sometimes shuts off, at what exact point does it USUALLY shut off. Can you supply us with your Whirlpool Top Load serial number? -RR It would hum, stop for a while and hum again. Like the machine is trying to do something but something is preventing it.I checked the the pump itself and it seemed fine. I moved the impeller with my fingers and it turned fine. Condenser dryers use roughly the same amount of energy as vented dryers, give or take, depending on the weather. It’s not clear whether they’re gentler on clothes. Reviewed.com has found that they run cooler than vented dryers, which means that they should cause less heat damage. But because they tumble longer, they cause more mechanical damage. Condenser dryers also radiate some heat and humidity into your living space, which might be nice in the winter but not so great in the summer. (Vented dryers might actually be worse for climate control, though, because they blow your heated or cooled air out through the hose, creating negative air pressure in your home so that outdoor “infiltration” air gets sucked in.) The other type of ventless dryer uses a heat pump, as in our upgrade pick. This is better technology. It relies on an active heat exchanger, filled with refrigerant, to remove moisture very efficiently. Though the dry times are about the same as in condenser dryers, heat-pump dryers use about half as much energy and are much gentler on clothes because they work at much, much lower temperatures than any other kind of dryer.
