Apparently Pro Chefs like Bosch too as it's mentioned for it's features on Chef Talk (see fine print in link below). The KA Architect II is more traditional in appearance with a raised back. KitchenAid isn't well know for it's ranges as much as it is for it's DW and Refrigerators (both of which I have found adequate.) The seller was a joke in its response and zero support to have manufacturer respond to defective product. I will not buy from the seller again. I will update on the status of replacement and whether that product works. Amazon basically joined in with the seller with no support so not happy about that either. They should not have sellers that are not willing to provide good customer service.All features are working satisfactorily for me but I've experienced something no one else has mentioned so wish to warn you. We just performed our first self-clean function of the oven after a couple months of light use. After the cleaning was completed, we found a stain covering the upper left quarter of the window; the stain was located between the panes of glass and not accessible to us. The service tech and Bosch customer service both explain that the oven is vented through the panes of glass and smoke from cleaning can deposit. Bosch is unwilling to admit this is a huge design defect. All Bosch ranges apparently have this design so I highly recommend staying away from all of them or at least get a guarantee this won't happen to you and that they will guarantee to replace the door forever if it does. April 2014 update: I posted a question regarding my problem on Bosch's FaceBook page and received an immediate response from Bosch. He reviewed my pictures with his engineers and determined the glass was flawed when installed at the factory. Both the tech I had previously worked with as well as Bosch's own Customer Service rep had deceived me. A different service group was given direction to replace the glass under warranty.The littlest grease or hot oil from stove softens up the paint on the plastic knobs. Ill probably try to get another set and paint them with clear poly. Except for the cheap knobs the stove has worked great. I did have one agent mention they were looking at going to metal knobs in future so you may want to wait on your purchase until they do.I cook several times a day and enjoy this range to no end. I wish it had dual ovens.but the warming drawer comes in handy. A second oven.would be the dream. That being said, the knobs haven't been fixed. We used the warming drawer feature last night when cooking many dishes for company--it was very helpful, and even makes up for timing glitches, i.e. when one dish is finished a bit earlier than expected. The oven functions perfectly, the range is great for all intensity flames; very low was important to me. Cleaning is easy, and the range looks beautiful in the kitchen. You may need the seller to supply a filler of about an inch to go between the wall and the stovetop, which they do have. We're grateful for buyer's ratings on all stoves, which were different than the Consumer's Report ratings, and helped us make this decision.We love the stove, so far it has worked very well for us and is a joy to cook on. The large burner does a good job with stir fries and browning, and all of the burners have a very even low setting. The cast iron burner plates are heavy and distribute the flame's heat well. We use the oven in convection mode mostly and it works great.
